Valify Attends 2018 Fall HCP Conference, Raises Funds for Chicago Animal Shelter
Valify recently attended the Health Connect Partners (HCP) Hospital Supply Chain Fall Conference held in Chicago from October 17th to 19th. The goal of HCP is to connect providers and suppliers through educational meetings and conferences. By bringing providers and suppliers together through industry-specific conferences, including Hospital Pharmacy, Hospital O.R. & Surgical, Radiology & Imaging, Hospital Supply Chain and Hospital & Healthcare I.T, HCP accomplishes its mission of providing the best in healthcare education and networking. In addition to connecting with peers, attendees were given access to cutting-edge informational sessions, participated in reverse EXPO sessions with industry leaders, and increased their brand visibility and exposure.
A Philanthropic Occasion
As animal lovers, the employees of Valify decided to use their platform at HCP to do some important (and adorable) charity work. Bringing puppies along for the event, the team raised money for a no-kill shelter while networking at HCP. The Chicago Canine Rescue Foundation (CCRF) gives homeless animals a second chance at a forever family. Founded in 2001, CCRF has saved the lives of over 6,000 of the most at-risk dogs, cats, and kittens in Chicago and the surrounding communities.
Valify donated $10 for every business card that conference attendees left behind, raising a total of $1,500 for the shelter.
“There are hundreds of animals in our community that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, too injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters,” said Joey Thomas, Volunteer Coordinator at the Chicago Canine Rescue Foundation. “This successful fundraiser with Valify at the HCP Hospital Supply Chain Fall Conference raised over $1,500, which goes directly to help find a permanent, loving home for the most vulnerable dogs in our city."
On hand to celebrate this achievement were Count Chocula, male Chihuahua, 5 months; Frakenberry, Chihuahua, 5 months, (brother of Count Chocula); and Berry, bulldog/mix, male, 7 years.
If this is a cause you are passionate about as well, the fundraising continues on the CCRF website.
Valify Attends the Capstone Annual Forum and Facilitates Feedback at the HealthTrust Innovation Summit
Valify was pleased to attend the Capstone Annual Forum at the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center on October 15-17 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Attendance was strong, and we enjoyed speaking with members about the benefits of data visibility and spend analytics for purchased services.
Additionally, Valify & Lucro (a Valify company) partnered with HealthTrust to fuel the technology used to collect member feedback throughout their 2018 Innovation Summit. Valify/Lucro deployed unique surveys to specific advisory boards attending the summit including nursing, laboratory, radiology/imaging, surgery, and physician preference. HealthTrust plans to use the member feedback collected as a factor in determining the next innovative vendors to add to their contract portfolio.
